Treatstep is operated by [Legal entity name and registered address] ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use this website and the Treatstep app, and what we do with it. Questions: info@treatstep.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, used to send your sign-in links.
- What you add to the app: your dogs (name, age, breed, an optional photo), the skills check and safety answers, your plan, every session and its result, your household words, hand signs and house rules, the first names of the people in your household, and the list of devices you sign in from.
- Purchase data: your payment is handled by our payment provider. We receive your name, email, plan and payment status, never your full card number.
- Ad measurement: the app uses the Meta pixel to count purchases that came from our ads. This website does not load it. [EU visitors: consent before the pixel, to build with the checkout]
Your dog's data
Your dogs, answers and training log stay private to your household. We store them only to show them to the people you invite. We never publish, share or sell them, and we never use them for anything but running the app for you.
How we use your data
- To run the app: sign-in links, your dog's plan, the same plan for everyone at home, progress, printable sheets and exports.
- To handle billing, renewals and support.
- To measure which ads bring dog owners to Treatstep.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that help us run Treatstep (hosting and storage, email delivery, payments) and Meta for ad measurement. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
While your account is active. If your plan ends, your data stays saved and exportable so you can come back. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except the billing records the law asks us to keep.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to opt out of the use of your data for targeted advertising. You can export your training log (CSV) and print your plan yourself from the app at any time. For anything else, email info@treatstep.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Children
Treatstep is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. A parent can add a child's first name to the household so everyone sees who trained; we never ask children for an email address or any contact details.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before it applies.
